I'm back to considering wallpaper. Again, I know. This turquoise wallpaper by Signature Prints is still top on my list of choices.
I love it but I'm thinking it may be too bright for my home. The plan is to place the wallpaper in either the living room (on the wall where the TV is) or the wall directly facing the entrance to our home. I like the idea of placing the wallpaper at the entrance. The entrance, dining and living spaces are all shared which is why I have placed them here together with the wallpaper to get a better feel it.My new option is Wilderness in white/gold by ferm LIVING.
I must be the last person on the earth to come across ferm LIVING. Actually I have seen their designs before and even posted a room with one of their wallpaper designs but I didn't know of the company. Now I do and I'm happy to find they have an Australian store.By the way if anyone is looking for wallpaper offcuts for small projects, I just noticed that Signature Prints have a sale on now in their online store (click On Sale from the menu). Offcuts are $60 and 71cm wide x 160cm long and they ship internationally. They also have fabric offcuts for the same price.

Viv..you are the cutest...you make me laugh...because I too am like you..I am hopeless at making final decisions..but I tend to believe you should always go with your first choice..the one you were initially attracted to.
ReplyDeleteI STILL love love love that turquoise wallpaper..it has such wow factor...and if I had to choose living or entrance..I think the Entrance is the perfect spot for it...OMG it is going to look amazing with all the decor you have already placed in that area...the mirrored hallway table..the LOVE print..and beautiful trinkets you have placed there... it will look just perfect Viv...I say go for it honey....you know you want to ; ) xxx
Hi VIv, thanks so much - I have been scanning the internet for wallpaper designs for months. Cant wait to check out fern LIVING! I would like to ask where you got that gorgeous mirror table- I have not seen anything like it before and I love it!
ReplyDeleteHappy 2010,
Marie/x
Both wallpaper designs are beautiful..I can see why you're having such a tough time deciding..I think they would both look great with your decor. I can't see the wall where the TV is located in your living room, but my husband and I currently have the wall our TV is on painted a different color and I love it!
ReplyDeleteviv, i love ferm living! i'm so glad that you've finally discovered them. happy new year!
ReplyDeleteOh no, go the turquoise! Turquoise, turquoise, turquoise. It is you. It will look fabulous! ... at the entrance. i can see it now, behind your gorgeous mirrored table. A-M xx PS Everyone's favourite room in my house is our office because of the striking, out there wallpaper.
ReplyDeleteI adore Ferm Living! Their kid's wallpaper is SOOOO cute too! I'm with the other girls- go turquoise! It is awesome and will be an AMAZING punch of bold color! Behind the tv would look great because it would play off your pillows, but it would look so sexy behind your mirrored table too! Ok, I'm not much help- I'm sure whatever you choose will look great!
ReplyDeleteWilderness in white/Gold is my preference!I LOVE Ferm Living!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to say turquoise as well Viv. Thanks your mentioning ferm living, I'm in love with their Sparrow wall paper.
ReplyDeleteI love the turquoise!! The design is beatiful.
ReplyDeleteI am leaning toward the turquoise too. But, either would look fab!
ReplyDeleteViv, I've been meaning to ask you for a while where you got your lounges from? Now that I'm buying a new one, this post reminded me.
ReplyDeleteI think the teal one is really you, but you would make either work really well in your home.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see it finished.
Happy New Year Viv. xx
I am afraid I am going to say turquiose as well! The other one is lovely - but it doesn't have the wow factor! The entrance would look fab!
ReplyDeleteI can sympathise with your dilema - I am SO indecisive when it comes to decorating. Both samples are beautiful but I LOVE the turquoise one!! Will go fabulously with all your other lovely decor. Love the turquoise cushions on your lounge!
ReplyDeleteViv I am the same, not only do I take ages to decide, but even long after the decision is made I keep on re-analyzing it (drives my hubby crazy).
ReplyDeleteIf you are doing just one wall I would suggest go for the turquoise one, if you were doing more than one wall then perhaps the fern living one.
The entrance area is looking really lovely :)
That would look great - I'm sure! :)
ReplyDeleteI like both :)
Anna - you are right I should just go with my first instinct!
ReplyDeleteIt seems to be the popular choice. Thank you everyone for helping me.
Anon - The mirrored table was given to me but it was originally bought from Domayne.
Carly - sorry the tv is opposite the 2 seater lounge, just cut off from the photo. I should take a better photo.
RAENOVATE - Happy new year to you too!
A-M - That's my favourite room in your house too. Your whole house is beautiful!
travelingmama - I love their kids range. Totally adorable. If I ever have another child I will consider using their designs.
Shari - the lounges are from Domayne too. I think they might still have the style in stock. From memory the style is called Morgan.
Cyma - good point. The turquoise paper would be overpowering on too many walls. I am planning to hang it on one wall only.
Thank you, thank you I really appreciate your comments xx
Tough call but I still love the first choice. The turqouise color and overal design are great. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteTurquoice for sure, it will really add a wow factor to a beautiful house.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, love you blog.
Cheers
Engracia
Happy New Year Viv - have a good one!!! looking forward to more wonderful posts from you next year!
ReplyDeleteI heart turquoise:) we only live once Viv!! xx
ReplyDeleteViv, both are lovely but I prefer Wilderness in white/gold, it's very beautiful!
ReplyDeletehave a happy new year!
I love it! The teal / turquois one. Soooo pretty. I wish I could wallpaper a bit but I'm in a rental. :(
